Why is it when scanning Kapaza for parts or generally browsing I am seeing so many NL registered Land Rovers on there for sale to Belgium?
Any ideas?

I was looking to buy a great priced 90 SW that was advertised, that was right up until I then noticed it had a Daihatsu 2.8 TD engine in it, now correct me if I am wrong but I am told by others around me that it is not possible here to fit a non standard engine as it will not be correct against the VIN and therefore it cannot get a CoC?Penguin schreef:Many dutch cars are for sale here, as registering those cars are getting to expensive in the Netherlands.
As for the "suitable for export" that usually means the car wont pass the TC anymore. This also means you don't have the papers needed to register the car directly. You'll need z-plates to go to the TC and receive the papers to register the car. (If it's ok to hit the road)
In Belgium engine swaps are only legal if approved by the LR importer : you can imagine you won't get the authorization for a Daihatsu 2.8 TD engine ;-(dieseldog schreef: I then noticed it had a Daihatsu 2.8 TD engine in it, now correct me if I am wrong but I am told by others around me that it is not possible here to fit a non standard engine as it will not be correct against the VIN and therefore it cannot get a CoC?
