Heb me volgende wegenkaarten aangeschaft:
Albania kaart van Vektor (geel 1:350.000) (n°302), bestaat trouwens ook in 1:250.000 (rood n°301).
- Regional Map Northern Albania, Vektor (blauw 1:200.000) (n°322);
- Regional Map Central Albania, Vektor (blauw 1:200.000) (n°323);
- Regional Map Southern Albania, Vektor (blauw 1:200.000) (n°324);
Car Ferry: Back in the Saddle Again . . . .
Car Ferry Again
Well, will wonders never cease? After 3 years of financial obsolescence, the Car Ferry up and started running again in Autumn 2014. The contact number of the owner is 355 (0) 68 23 14 373. At the moment (25 April 2015) they’re stopped for winter again and are working on the boat(s). When they do start running, it will be daily but they’ve already delayed their start from 1 May to 15 May so who knows when it will really start. The rates and timetable are helpfully listed on Mario Molla’s website http://www.komanilake.com, which is super nice of Mario since it doesn’t actually have anything to do with him! Last question is if the car ferry is doing anything about arranging a bus to Valbona, but since they haven’t even started operating yet the question is at present moot.
THE BIG CAR FERRY BACK TO FUNCTION 2015

The Small Car Ferry
Berisha Car FerryBrand New in 2015, the Small Car Ferry “Berisha” leaves Koman at 9h00 daily, and Fierze at 13h00. Cost is 5€ for m² of car (I think this is hilarious, Archemides) plus (or) 5€ per person. So far (10 May 2015) they do not seem to be organizing any sort of transport to or from Valbona directly, but I assume that when the season gets busier this will start. Despite the fact that they can only take about 10 cars, they don’t seem to be bothered about reservations – but you can always call the night before: 069 68 00 748. They arrive and depart at the “Breglumit Ferry Landing” (not the Fierze Bridge like some of the smaller boats).
